Howard Schnellenberger
Always had respect for this guy for building up three different teams into National Champs (Miami) or into usually solid squads (Louisville, FAU).
Seriously, I think we all knew that they would come in looking to punch us in the mouth. Sure enough, just when you thought the game was in the bag, they scored twice, and quickly.
Some were bogus IMO, and the officiating was....well, typical Sun Belt junk and mostly not in our favor. We shot ourselves in the foot with too many flags, again.
Under Bustle, I feel confident that we probably would have given up and had a complete collapse and lost that game. Hud has these guys playing hard until the very end and the offense made the plays in the 2 min offense to get it done. Blaine looked like Manning running that offense with 1:45 on the clock. Working the sidelines and throwing perfect passes. The catch by Harry "Power to the" Peoples to get us in chip shot range for Brett Baer, was a highlight reel catch.
Speaking of Peoples. He had a break out game and looks like a rising star as he and Blaine are working very very well together. IMO, this will only help our running game as opposing defenses will have to watch for Green, Lawson, AND Peoples. Not to mention Surgent. What a weapon he is.
I didn't go to the game in 2009 (couldn't make it), but the game in 2007, man, FAU played reaaallly dirty, I mean ridiculous. With that said, maybe because they're more humble now, but the FAU team I messed with last night seemed less thuggish. But thats just my opinion.
